On the first page, students observe images of Ancient Greece, Colonial Brazil, and Ancient Egypt to identify the historical context in which the Sophists lived. They then compare different characters to recognize that the Sophists primarily worked as teachers.

In question 3, the concept of argument is connected to an everyday situation. The statement “The school should offer more sports activities because they help improve students’ health” allows the student to recognize an opinion supported by a reason as an argument.
