This adaptation keeps students in contact with a text written entirely in English, while using Portuguese as linguistic support for comprehension. The text is divided into four smaller sections, with each English passage immediately followed by its translation, allowing students to work through the narrative one section at a time.
The activities also follow a progressive sequence. Students begin by locating more explicit information, such as the main topic of the text and who Prometheus was, and then move on to tasks that require chronological organization, information association, and understanding vocabulary in context.
