The activity begins by helping students distinguish between a circle and a circumference. In the first activity, students observe two representations: a completely filled-in circular region and a round outline. Through this visual comparison, they identify which one represents the circumference.
Students then move on to the elements of a circumference. First, they visually identify the radius. Next, they observe a single diagram containing the center, radius, diameter, and arc and complete the information using a word bank. Finally, they apply the relationship diameter = 2 × radius in a simple calculation to determine the diameter of a circumference with a radius of 4 cm.
Students in Elementary School, Middle School, and, when curriculum adaptations are required, High School, especially those who benefit from greater visual support, reduced mathematical abstraction, more objective instructions, or reduced reading and written-response demands.

The activity was designed so that students do not begin directly with formulas or abstract definitions. Instead, they first observe and distinguish visual representations, then recognize the elements of a circumference, and only at the end apply a mathematical relationship.
In activity 2, for example, only one segment is shown, extending from the center to the edge of the circumference. This allows students to focus specifically on identifying the radius.
In activity 3, the level of complexity increases: OA represents the radius, BC passes through the center and represents the diameter, and the curved section DE represents the arc. These elements are visually highlighted and connected to a word bank.
